Walance joined Compre in June 2021 as Group Head of Treasury. Walance has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services. Prior to joining Compre he spent 12 years with Medirect Group where he ended as the Group’s Head of Treasury leading the team responsible for the treasury operations, liquidity, funding, capital, balance sheet management and optimization of the whole Banking group. He also spent six years with the Central Bank of Malta in the Investments department overseeing a multi-currency bond book. He holds a BCom (Hons) in Banking and Finance, an MA in Economics, an MA in Business Ethics (with Distinction) from the University of Malta and an MSc in Finance (with Distinction) form Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow.
